The first megahit fighting game.
Street Fighter II was the sequal to the game Street Fighter. Characters include the brutal man-beast Blanka, the quick footed Chun Li, the long armed Dhalsim, Japanese sumo wrestler E. Honda, U.S. soldier Guile, martial artists Ken and Ryu and the Russian muscleman Zangief. Their are also unique settings to fight in, set around the world.
The reaction to this port of Street Fighter II was mixed. True it was a scalled down version of the arcade game, but it was still a nice game in it's own right. Unlike the arcade version it only supported two fire buttons instead of six, the backgrounds were less well defined and not animated, and some music didn't make it to the game.
